Social Programme

There is no good conference without good partying!

For ISCONTOUR 2019 we have put together an exciting and entertaining social programme that will pamper the conference participants.

Monday, 13 May 2019

We  will ascend with the Hungerburg funicular and the cable car to the Nordkette mountain. After enjoying the spectacular view of the Austrian Alps we will have lunch at Seegrube Restaurant.

The Nordkette is part of Austria’s largest nature park, the Karwendel Nature Park, and can be reached directly from Innsbruck city centre in just a few minutes! The breathtaking 360° view leaves a lasting impression, with the capital of the Alps on one side and Tyrol’s most extensive conservation area on the other.

The Hungerburg funicular’s stations, designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, have become an integral part of Innsbruck’s cityscape and represent the most modern architecture in the alpine region. The Seegrube, at an altitude of 2256 m and surrounded by the beauty of Austria’s largest national park, invites visitors and locals alike to relax, unwind and take in nature at its very best.

Please note: the ascend with the furnicular is not included in the conference fee. ISCONTOUR participants get a discounted price of € 10,- (instead of the regular price of €36,50). – Foto credits:  ©

The first conference day will be finished off with a Buffet Dinner at MCI I (Universitätsstraße 15, 6020 Innsbruck) in the city centre of Innsbruck. – Foto credits:  ©

After an exciting second conference day with keynote presentations and – as highlights – the presentations of the research papers we will finish off the day with a Get-together at the Stiftskeller Innsbruck.

The largest beer garden of Innsbruck right at Franziskanerplatz is perfect to start your summer days with a morning pint or a typical Bavarian veal sausage breakfast, or maybe end the day with a cool Augustiner beer and traditional Tyrolean delicacies.

Our small garden situated at Stiftgasse offers a shady place for our guests on warm summer days. Immerged into the flair of the old town you may watch the everyday hustle and bustle reflecting the typical Innsbruck.
