The tourism research department at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences is directly connected to the tourism degree program ‘Innovation & Management in Tourism’. As a link between the scientific community and academics on the one side, and the dynamic and competitive tourism economy on the other side, we seek to meet the standards of both parties.
Our research projects reach from grant-funded EU projects on an international level to applied projects with our many regional and national partners (e.g. the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce, the Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth, as well as other regional touristic SMEs and DMOs). Our focus is on the existing demand of tourism research thus leading to a state-of-the-art knowledge transfer to our students and other institutions.
